Studio Hope was founded by Lori Hartwell to bring together two 501c3 non-profits, Paws Fur Hope and the Renal Support Network–joining them in a stylish, joyful shopping community, where proceeds benefit people and pets.
Lori grew up with a love for fashion and an artistic eye, beading jewelry during long hours at the hospital while navigating kidney failure as a child. Her childhood pet Pepi, a sweet black poodle, also provided support; the two rescued each other. Lori founded the Renal Support Network in 1993 as a way to provide education and support to others battling chronic kidney disease. In 2020, she and her husband Dean launched Paws Fur Hope Pet Rescue to help orphaned pets find loving families.
These two organizations have made a profound impact: families coping with kidney disease have found hope and support, and over 250 pets have found their forever homes. It was only natural for the communities to join together under Studio Hope’s roof, as both organizations continue to encourage and uplift people and pets alike. Proceeds benefit both non-profits.
